A sink full of dishes is temporary. A drying rack is often on display all day. Brabantia’s large SinkSide rack makes sense when you want that everyday working corner to look intentional—but only if the draining arrangement fits your sink.
Follow the water before choosing the color
The rack sits over a separate draining tray. Position its outlet so water can run toward the sink, not onto a raised countertop edge. Check the lip and height of your sink before ordering: a sloped tray is useful only when the water has somewhere to go.

Our link selects the large rigid 117404 in dark grey, also called black on the manufacturer’s regional page. It is not the compact or foldable version. At approximately 49 by 38.5 cm, this is a permanent allocation of worktop space, not a small pad you can tuck away after breakfast.

Look at the dishes you actually wash
The loaded photograph is a better clue than the empty product shot. Plates stand in the rack, while cups and bowls need the remaining space. A mixed dinner’s dishes will not pack like identical demonstration plates. If pans normally fill your sink, measure those too.

The removable cutlery basket can be carried to a drawer, but dry the utensils first. Treat the basket as an organizing convenience rather than a reason to put damp cutlery away.

A neater corner still needs care
The manufacturer specifies an aluminum rack and plastic tray, neither a dishwasher-cleaning shortcut nor a guarantee against mineral deposits. Lift the parts and clean the areas beneath them regularly. The broad tray should not become an unseen pool of residue.

Choose this SinkSide when it will replace a rack you already use and its footprint suits your counter. Skip it if your dishwasher does nearly everything, you need fold-away storage or your sink edge prevents drainage. We have not measured its drying speed; its strongest documented benefits are layout and removable components.
