The dragon, narwhal and yeti provide three more characters to colour and invent stories around. It is a small world to revisit, not just a picture to complete once.
Match the four-pet set, not the whole collection
The selected original 747346 playset includes four Peculiar Pets, a sparkly scrub tub, a scrub brush, nine washable markers and a reusable standing play mat. The background can also be coloured and washed according to the maker.
This is not the Rainbow tub, a palace or a larger pet collection. Additional figures shown elsewhere in the range are separate purchases. Nine markers and four characters make this particular set a self-contained starting point without buying an expansion first.
Washing is part of the activity
The figures have fuzzy colourable surfaces. Use the supplied or appropriate compatible washable markers and follow the cleaning directions. Permanent markers and unrelated art materials are not interchangeable just because they will draw on the same surface.
Set the tub on a suitable surface, use the directed amount of water and have somewhere for damp figures to dry. A towel and a supervised wash station are more realistic preparation than assuming a tiny bathtub contains every splash. We have not tested how quickly every colour washes away or how many cycles the figures tolerate.
A gift for children who like characters and repetition
Crayola recommends ages three and up; there are small parts. The colouring and washing are hands-on activities, so an adult should judge readiness and supervise water play. This is not a pet-care tool or a real animal grooming kit.
One child might enjoy redesigning a single character; others might take turns choosing coats and telling a story with the background. No digital activity is necessary for the physical kit to work.
