THE SHORT VERSION
Before you browse
Analogue INSTAX WIDE camera, not a phone printer
Self-timer and angle-adjustment accessory
Uses four AA alkaline batteries
WIDE film is sold separately
At a gathering, the person taking the photograph is often the person missing from it. The Fujifilm INSTAX WIDE 400 gives that problem a simple physical answer: set the self-timer, put the camera at a suitable angle and join the group. The finished print can become part of the evening rather than another file someone promises to send later.

Choose analogue on purpose
WIDE 400 is an analogue instant camera. It does not provide the digital preview-and-select workflow of WIDE Evo, and it is not a smartphone printer. Each shutter press uses film. That can make a photograph feel more deliberate, but it also makes a missed frame part of the running cost. If you want to keep only the best of several attempts before printing, choose a hybrid camera instead.

The timer is the useful little detail
The self-timer and included angle-adjustment accessory make group pictures a clear use case. Test a stable place to put the camera and allow space to step into the frame; the accessory is not a substitute for a secure support. Automatic exposure and flash reduce the number of decisions, but they cannot guarantee a successful picture in every lighting situation.

Bigger prints come with a bigger camera
The picture area is 62 by 99 millimetres. The body measures 162 by 98 by 123 millimetres and weighs about 616 grams before batteries and film. Check your carrying space rather than expecting a pocket-sized camera. It takes four AA alkaline batteries and separately sold INSTAX WIDE film; neither MINI nor SQUARE film fits. Confirm the selected box contents before a party or trip.

Choose this Sage Green WIDE 400 if handing out imperfect but memorable analogue snapshots sounds like the experience you want. Skip it if easy phone printing or low per-picture cost matters more. The maker gallery is a reference for controls and appearance, not our own photographic results or a hands-on test.

Some shelves do not need another useful object. They need a little softness among books, screens and storage boxes. LEGO Mini Orchid 10343 offers peach-coloured flowers, curved leaves and a terracotta-colour pot on a wood-effect plinth. It is a buildable decoration, not a plant-care shortcut pretending to be a living orchid.
