Give the mountain scene a closer look
Valley of the Peaks combines turquoise water, snowy peaks and a meadow with wildlife tucked into the illustration. Kim Smith’s scene rewards looking past the obvious landscape: the maker describes bears, birds and smaller creatures among rocks and flowers. That makes it an appealing gift for someone who likes nature pictures but wants more to discover than a broad band of scenery.

Choose a project, not a quick distraction
The puzzle has 1,000 pieces and finishes at 20 by 27 inches. Plan a surface that can remain available between sessions, or a suitable board that can be moved safely. The box dimensions are not the working size. A landscape that looks restful can still require sustained concentration when similar water, mountains or foliage are separated into small pieces.

Follow the illustration’s landmarks
Animals, flower clusters and distinct mountain edges provide visible areas to recognise against the full-colour insert. Repeated greens and blues may be more demanding. We have not assembled this puzzle, measured difficulty or checked the cut ourselves. These are observations about the image and format, not a promise that a particular sorting strategy works best.

Keep material claims attributed
Galison describes recycled-paper greyboard and low puzzle dust. Those are manufacturer claims, not our independent durability or cleanliness test. Keep drinks away from the pieces, store unfinished sections safely and follow the package’s handling guidance. A nature theme does not make the cardboard weatherproof or suitable for an outdoor tabletop.

Buy for the scene you want to revisit
Confirm Valley of the Peaks and ISBN 9780735389021. A reference insert is supplied; framing materials are not promised. If you mainly want a decorative mountain print, consider whether the assembly experience matters to you before choosing a puzzle. This edition makes sense when the slow build and the wildlife-filled picture are both part of the reward.
