A sink ledge can look untidy even when everything on it is necessary. Two brushes lean against a tube, the tube falls over, and the whole arrangement spreads toward the tap. Joseph Joseph’s compact EasyStore 70509 gives those everyday pieces a small, divided home rather than another large bathroom organiser.
Measure the ledge, not just the cupboard
The light-gray and white holder is 12.7cm tall with a 9cm by 9cm footprint. Three sections separate brushes and toothpaste. That compact square base is its main advantage for a narrow counter, but it still needs a flat resting place where it will not obstruct the tap or your hand.
Before buying, stand your actual electric toothbrush and usual toothpaste tube together. Wide handles and oversized tubes take more room than the slender examples in product photographs. This regular compact model is not the wider EasyStore Large, and it is not Joseph Joseph’s general-purpose bathroom caddy.
The underside deserves a look
The maker shows the holder taken apart for cleaning and illustrates its ventilation opening and non-slip base. These are the practical details that distinguish it from a spare cup: you can access the interior rather than trying to clean a permanently enclosed corner.
Wash and dry it by hand, as Joseph Joseph instructs. Ventilation does not remove toothpaste residue or make a wet counter maintenance-free. Think of the removable parts as a way to make the ordinary cleaning job easier, not a reason to stop doing it.
Storage is not charging
An electric toothbrush can be stored upright here, but the holder does not supply power. Its base is not a charging dock, and there is no sterilising function. Keep any required charger and cable arranged separately and follow the toothbrush maker’s instructions.
Choose the compact EasyStore when a few oral-care items need organisation on a tight ledge. Skip it if a cleanable cup already works, or if a larger household needs genuinely more capacity. The selected gray-and-white version offers a quiet look without pretending to transform the entire bathroom. This is a research-based layout and care assessment, not our own bathroom-use test.
