A gold visor, an outstretched arm and a little white suit: LEGO Space Astronaut 31152 has enough personality to turn an ordinary shelf into a tiny space scene. The satisfying part is that you make the explorer yourself, then decide whether the next mission needs an astronaut, a space dog or a jet.
The pose is part of the appeal
The astronaut’s moving limbs and fingers let the finished model look more playful than a rigid ornament. Compare the standing and angled photographs. If you enjoy changing a display rather than simply completing it once, those joints have a purpose. The detachable backpack adds another detail to explore.
At roughly 27 centimetres tall, the astronaut is substantial enough to notice without needing the space of a huge licensed spacecraft. Check overhead shelf clearance and room for the stand, not just the height of the figure. The building scene offers scale; the books and desk accessories are not included.
Three possible missions, one set of bricks
The 647-piece set is aimed at builders aged nine and older. It rebuilds into a futuristic space dog or a space viper jet, each with a display stand. Those are alternative constructions using the same parts, not three finished models supplied together.
That choice is attractive for someone who enjoys dismantling and rebuilding. It is less of an advantage for a recipient who wants to keep every finished creation intact. Decide whether the dog and jet would genuinely tempt you to start again, or whether the astronaut alone earns the price. No build-time estimate here substitutes for your own experience or patience.
Peek inside the visor before buying
The opening gold visor reveals a seat for a minifigure, but no minifigure is included. The model is also not a motorized robot, a costume or a working space gadget. Search results may include lighting kits and stands that do not contain the LEGO set at all; check number 31152.
LEGO currently labels this model retired on its own site, while the selected Amazon offer was available new when checked. We make no scarcity or investment claim. Choose it for the enjoyable build and expressive finished astronaut, not an imagined future resale price. This is researched guidance, not a personal build review.
