The classic 1989 Batmobile makes its impression with length, a low body and a distinctive outline. Metal Earth’s PS2014 is a way to put that shape on a shelf without a large display case. The catch is also the point of the product: you construct the metal model yourself.

Choose the version you actually want
This is the Premium Series Classic 1989 Batmobile kit, not the broader Tumbler or the Classic TV Series car. Compare the shape and model number before ordering. A search result that simply says Batmobile can lead to a different design, size or product type, so the familiar name is not enough.

Measure the shelf, not the photograph
The maker lists a completed size of approximately 5.9 inches long, 2.6 inches wide and 1.6 inches high. Its low height is useful on a short shelf, but the long body still needs clear horizontal space. Leave a viewing angle that shows the silhouette rather than positioning it behind taller books or collectibles.

Three sheets are a construction commitment
PS2014 carries a challenging difficulty rating and maker guidance for ages fourteen and up. Expect careful shaping and connecting of small metal pieces, not a car that rolls straight out of the box. Read the instructions and plan a stable, well-lit work area. We have not assembled the kit and cannot give a tested completion time.

Choose this model if the 1989 design and the building process both appeal to you. A ready-made die-cast collectible is a better match when the recipient wants the look without the work, while a simpler kit is a gentler introduction to metal modelmaking. The gallery shows assembled manufacturer references; the selected item is unassembled, and this guide is research-based.
