The Panasonic ARC5 PALM looks more like a rounded object held in the hand than a conventional razor with a long handle. That is the appeal: a compact five-blade shaver you can pack differently and grip directly. It is not automatically a better shave because it is smaller.
Imagine your fingers before your suitcase
The manufacturer photographs show fingers wrapped around the body while the foil head meets the face. Consider whether that grip looks comfortable for the angles you normally shave. A long handle creates distance and leverage; the palm format puts your hand closer to the head. Neither is universally preferable.

For occasional travel, first ask whether your existing shaver is genuinely difficult to pack. Buying a second tool solely for a few trips can add more to the drawer than it removes from the washbag.

USB-C is useful, but charging is still separate
A USB-C charging connection can simplify the cables you carry. It does not mean every charger, voltage arrangement or wet-bathroom setup is suitable. Check the supplied instructions and package contents, and keep charging equipment dry. The selected shaver is described as wet/dry; that distinction applies to use and cleaning as instructed.

Black is not the White material story
This shopping link selects Black ES-PV3A-K. Some Panasonic photographs include the White ES-PV6A-W, associated with NAGORI material. Do not transfer that material claim to the Black model or assume a photograph of both colours describes the chosen finish.

The case and cover matter for travel because a foil head should not simply rub against loose items. Inspect how the packed tool fits alongside your other necessities; reference accessories are not additional kit contents.

Choose PALM for a grip and packing format you actually prefer. Pass if a normal handled shaver already suits you. We have not tested closeness, comfort or bump prevention, and the unconventional shape proves none of those outcomes.
