Your laptop screen can feel correctly placed at the start of the morning and awkward after you change chairs or settle into a longer task. Rain Design’s iLevel2 gives that ordinary adjustment a simple control: a slider across the front of an aluminium stand.
Understand what the slider changes
Moving the control changes the platform’s height and angle together. Rain Design lists a 5.4–7.9-inch height range. It is not an arm with independently adjustable height, reach and tilt, so check whether that combined movement puts your screen where you want it.

This guide links the silver 12031 iLevel2. The maker sometimes calls the current second-generation model simply iLevel. It is distinct from the fixed-height mStand: adjustability is the reason to choose this one, not a different colour.

Finish the setup, not just the purchase
Raising a laptop also raises its built-in keyboard. An external keyboard and mouse let the screen and your hands occupy more useful positions. Factor those into the space and cost rather than expecting a stand alone to transform every workstation.

The platform needs a stable desk and a laptop that sits securely on its contact pads and front lip. Check the fit with your actual machine, especially if it wears a thick case. Do not promise medical relief or measured cooling gains from an aluminium surface.
Make room for a permanent desk object
iLevel2 is not a folding travel accessory. If you work at changing café tables, a lighter packable stand may be more sensible. If you leave a laptop in one workspace, a substantial adjustable base can make the setup look deliberate instead of improvised.
The photographs show the silver stand, the slider, its profile and an example separate-keyboard arrangement. Computers and peripherals are props, not included equipment. We have not tested its stability while typing.
Choose iLevel2 when a fixed riser leaves your screen at the wrong height and you have room for external input devices. Keep a simpler stand if its existing position already suits you; an adjustable mechanism is useful only when you actually use the adjustment.
