The maker lists eight inches wide, ten inches deep and seven inches high. Amazon’s ten-inch description should not be read as the height: the manufacturer’s named measurements make the shape clearer. Compare the depth with the shelf you plan to use, especially if books already occupy most of it.
Inspect more than the face
The front, top and rear reference views show how the character looks from different angles. Think about whether it will face into a room, sit below eye level or appear side-on in your setup. An attractive thumbnail is only one view of an object that will occupy real space.
Choose the audience, not just the theme
A person who likes moth characters, fantasy creatures or spooky plushes is a more natural recipient than someone who simply celebrates Halloween. It can remain a year-round character if the recipient likes it independently of the season. This is not a scientifically accurate insect model or a collectible with a promised future value.
