Check the accessories before closing the shell
Armor G12 is a hard-shell case described for Steam Deck and Steam Deck OLED, using a polycarbonate shell, securing latch and raised space around the controls. The maker says it accommodates thin thumb grips. That detail matters if your console carries accessories that change its shape.
Do not assume a compatible bare device means any added grip, cover or stick accessory also fits. Check the closing clearance without pressure on controls. The console is not included with the case.
Protection claims need more than a slogan
The manufacturer describes drop-test compliance, but we have not independently verified the test setup or performed one ourselves. Present it as a manufacturer claim, not proven protection from every fall. The charging opening is a design feature; follow device ventilation and charging guidance rather than inferring that closed-case charging is always appropriate. Choose G12 for a verified compact console setup. A larger carry case may be better when you need the charger and other accessories together, not just a close-fitting shell around the handheld.
