A short spoon and a deep meal pouch are an awkward pairing. The UCO Switch Spork tackles that mismatch with two utensils that nest for packing, separate for eating and connect into a longer tool when you need to reach further.
Three modes, one specific set
The Classic Stone Blue version linked here contains a fork, a spoon/knife combination and a reusable tether. Its glass-filled nylon construction is different from the recycled-polypropylene ECO edition. Do not choose by a generic Switch Spork photograph alone: check the selected material and colour before ordering.

The maker gives a normal length of approximately 17.8 cm and an extended length of 26.2 cm. That extra reach is the interesting function, not simply the word spork. The gallery shows the connection and nested arrangement; the tether helps keep the pieces together during storage.

Think about your actual meals
For pouch meals, the longer configuration may save an uncomfortable reach toward the bottom. With a shallow bowl, an ordinary spoon can already do the job. Having a dedicated fork and spoon is useful if you dislike eating everything with the same end, but it also means two pieces to wash and account for.

The knife edge belongs to an eating utensil; do not expect the capability of a proper food-preparation knife. Plastic utensils also are not metal cooking tools. Keep them away from direct flames and hot pan surfaces, and follow the maker’s care instructions rather than assuming reinforced material tolerates every kind of heat.

A small upgrade with a clear purpose
Shortlist it if long-reach eating or compact paired utensils solve a repeat nuisance. Skip it if the spoon already in your kit reaches comfortably. Some outdoor reference photographs show other Classic colours; the linked set is Stone Blue. We have not field-tested the connection or claim that it improves every camp meal.
