Before hanging a large mirror, look at the wall opposite it. A window, a favourite plant or a tidy corner can become part of the room twice. A laundry pile can too. The black37-inch Umbra Hub makes a generous circular feature, but its best placement depends on what you want reflected—not simply where a wall looks empty.
Make a paper circle first
This is the large37-inch version, approximately94cm across. Mark that diameter with paper or painter’s tape, checking that your wall finish tolerates the adhesive. Stand back from the places you normally sit and walk. Leave breathing room around doorways, furniture and nearby fittings.

The round shape can soften a room full of straight edges. It can also look crowded above a small console. A smaller mirror is not automatically a compromise when it fits the wall better. Check the exact size in your basket; the Hub family contains other dimensions.

Reflect light, not expectations
The mirrored surface can reflect available daylight or lamp light. It does not produce light, add usable floor space or guarantee that every dark room will feel bright. Think about glare and where a window will appear in the reflection at different times of day.

Manufacturer living-room and dining scenes help illustrate placement; their furniture, plants and accessories are not included. These are styling references rather than photographs of our own installation.

Treat installation as part of the decision
The black rubber frame gives the mirror a simple outline. Rubber around the edge does not make the glass shatterproof or remove the need for secure mounting. The rear hanging arrangement still needs fixings appropriate for the wall and the mirror’s load.

Confirm the supplied instructions and your wall construction before starting. Do not assume a decorative hook, adhesive strip or existing nail is suitable. Get help positioning a large glass object, and keep it away from situations where an unsecured mirror could fall.
Choose the Hub if you have a suitable wall, a view worth repeating and space for a broad circular shape. Skip it if you need a lightweight temporary decoration or cannot safely mount it. The worthwhile change is a more considered room—not a promise that a mirror will solve its proportions.
