A toy with fewer distractions
Some dogs are more interested in carrying and gnawing a solid toy than extracting treats from a complicated puzzle. Rumpus is worth considering for that preference. Its three rounded lobes make a distinctive shape, but the buying reason should be your dog’s established play style—not an assumption that an unusual silhouette makes every dog interested.

Get the actual size right
This guide selects the medium Aqua Blue model ZG081AQA. West Paw lists the medium at 6.25 inches, or approximately sixteen centimetres, with a smaller version sold separately. Check the exact Amazon option before ordering. A length measurement alone does not establish safe mouth fit; consider the overall shape and whether your dog can take a dangerously large portion into its mouth.

Chew and fetch, rather than a food puzzle
The maker describes three chew zones and a floating design. These suggest supervised gnawing and retrieval, not dispensing kibble or hiding treats. If your main aim is a food-based activity, choose a purpose-built feeder instead of trying to insert food into a solid toy. A photograph of a dog holding Rumpus illustrates the intended use; it is not evidence that your dog will enjoy it.
Tough is not a supervision exemption
West Paw positions Rumpus for tough chewers, but also explicitly states that no dog toy is indestructible. Inspect it before and during play, stop use if damaged, and remove it if pieces become loose. Do not use this description as a promise of unlimited chew life or an alternative to monitoring a dog that swallows toy fragments.
Match the setting to the activity
A floating toy can make water-side retrieval appealing, but that is not a reason to let a dog enter unsuitable water. Keep play in a setting appropriate for the animal and follow the manufacturer’s guidance. For indoor use, give fetching enough clear space away from fragile items. The retained gallery shows the blue design; check the medium size option rather than identifying the size from a scene photograph.
A straightforward choice
Consider Rumpus if your dog enjoys this kind of solid chew toy and you can supervise it. Its dishwasher-safe maker specification is useful, but follow the supplied cleaning directions. Skip it when you want plush comfort, a squeaking character or a treat puzzle. We have not tested its durability, buoyancy or the response of any individual dog.
