The worst food-storage container is often the one whose lid has vanished. Joseph Joseph’s multicolour Nest Lock set tackles the cupboard side of that problem: five differently sized containers nest together, with colour-matched lids that clip into a tidy stack. It offers a satisfying reset for a chaotic cupboard—not a reason to throw out perfectly usable boxes.

Five containers, not ten containers

Some packaging counts lids as separate pieces. This selection contains five containers plus their five lids. The graduated sizes cover small portions through larger leftovers, rather than giving you five identical lunch boxes. Think about what you normally save: a spoonful of sauce needs a different box from a family portion of rice.

The colour coding helps make a matching pair visible. Nesting saves space when the set is empty, but filled containers still need individual room in the fridge. Measure that space and check the largest container before expecting a cupboard trick to solve refrigerator crowding too.

A useful routine matters as much as the clips

Wash and dry every part before nesting it away. If the smallest box is wet at the bottom of a tightly packed stack, the attractive storage arrangement becomes less useful. Close the clips carefully and check that the sealing surfaces are clean rather than treating the leakproof description as permission to ignore food caught in the rim.

For reheating, follow the maker’s instructions: loosen the lid and rest it on top rather than sealing it shut in the microwave. This is not an oven or grill set. Strongly coloured, oily or sugary foods require particular care to avoid overheating and staining; choose a different vessel when the cooking method demands it.

Replace the muddle, not a working system

Choose Nest Lock if mismatched lids and empty boxes genuinely eat your storage space. Keep your current set if you already have compatible, easy-to-find lids. The reward is opening the cupboard to an orderly stack and selecting the right size without a scavenger hunt—not owning more containers than your meals need.
