A narrow gap can be enough
Skinny makes an ordinary bin feel less intrusive by changing its footprint. The long, narrow black body can occupy a gap beside a desk where a round basket would jut into the room. That is the buying question: does your actual empty space suit this shape? A slim-looking photograph alone cannot answer it.

Measure length as well as width
The maker lists approximate dimensions of thirteen-and-a-half by six-and-a-half by thirteen inches. Mark that rectangle on the floor before ordering. Leave room to reach the handle and lift the bin out without catching a drawer or cable. A narrow gap with insufficient length is not a fit, and an inaccessible placement makes emptying more inconvenient.

An open top is a deliberate trade-off
Easy dropping-in comes with visible contents and no lid. Choose it for the kinds of everyday waste you are comfortable leaving uncovered, with appropriate emptying and cleaning. It is not a substitute for covered food-waste storage or odour containment. A lid also matters when a pet or child might reach the contents; assess that separately.

Light-looking does not mean limitless capacity
The published capacity is around two gallons, so this is a small room bin rather than a main kitchen container. Polypropylene and an integrated handle support a simple carrying format, but we have not tested load limits, impacts or how individual liners fit. Confirm liner suitability instead of assuming a standard large bin bag will look tidy.

Keep the original problem in view
This is black model 082610-040. Different colours are not interchangeable with the selected listing. Pictured furnishings are styling examples, not included items. Use a damp cloth and the maker’s care guidance rather than treating the finish as chemical-proof. Buy Skinny for an awkward gap that genuinely needs an open bin; choose another design when hiding waste matters more than the compact footprint.
