The moment a dog needs water is usually the moment you discover the spare bowl is in another bag. Kurgo Gourd puts a detachable dog bowl on the bottom of a water bottle, keeping those two items together until the stop.
Separate drinking surfaces, shared water
The selected Amazon variant is Grass Green. Manufacturer photographs also show blue and red versions of the same detachable-bowl design; those colours illustrate use, not extra bottles in the purchase. The lower bowl comes off for the dog while the bottle has its own drinking lid.
This is a simple arrangement rather than a powered dispenser or a water-recovery valve. Pour a suitable amount into the bowl, offer it on a stable surface and follow normal hygiene when packing up. It is not a water filter and should be filled with safe drinking water.

A bottle still has a limit
Before choosing it, consider how long the walk will last, the weather and how much water you and your dog normally need. Sharing one supply is convenient, but does not make it sufficient for every outing. Carry more water when the plan requires it rather than using the integrated bowl as reassurance.
The shaped lower section gives the bowl a carrying position, but the finished bottle is not the same shape as a straight-sided flask. Check your bag pocket or intended holder. A familiar bottle plus a separate collapsible bowl may be a better fit if your carrying system already works well.

Choose the routine, not the photograph
Gourd makes sense for short, planned outings where forgetting the bowl is the recurring annoyance. It is less compelling if you mainly need insulation, filtration or a large reserve. Wash the bottle and bowl after use, check that the bowl is securely attached and confirm the exact colour in the retailer’s selection. The benefit is a small packing problem solved, leaving the walk itself as the enjoyable part.
