Match the batch to the tray
When a recipe makes a dozen muffins, a 12-cup pan keeps the batch together instead of splitting it across mismatched tins. OXO’s ceramic-coated version combines twelve cavities with wider handling rims and a light-colored interior. Those are useful features to compare, but they do not tell us how your recipe will brown.

The regional page gives an outside footprint of approximately 16.96 by 11.9 inches. Check the rack before ordering, especially for compact ovens. The cavity size also matters: a standard muffin recipe is not automatically a jumbo muffin recipe.

Decide how you want to clean and release food
This is coated metal bakeware, not a flexible silicone tray. OXO recommends hand washing. Consider whether you normally use liners and whether a twelve-portion batch suits your household. For frequent small bakes, a smaller pan can be less cumbersome; for a regular dozen, one correctly sized tray avoids repeated setup. Choose this exact coating and format only after checking the selected listing. We have not tested release, browning or long-term durability, so those should not become invented reasons to buy.

The decision before checkout
The stated cavity diameter is 2.75 inches, not a jumbo-muffin promise. Check the recipe yield and how you remove the finished bake: liners and coated metal answer different needs from freestanding silicone cups. Keep the handling rims clear so oven gloves do not touch the batter.
