Small is the point
The 1334280 set measures about 18.6 × 13.7 × 4 cm. Its angled brush handle suits short countertop sweeps, and the brush clips into the pan with its bristles covered. It can stand on a shelf or lie in a drawer, so it is more likely to stay near the mess than a full-size broom.
The soft lip needs contact with the surface to collect debris. Set it flat and sweep towards it rather than chasing crumbs across the entire counter. An uneven edge or a crowded workspace can make a small dustpan awkward; the product cannot compensate for a poor collecting position.
Keep the jobs separate
Use it for dry crumbs and similar loose debris, then clean the surface as appropriate. Sweeping does not disinfect, remove greasy residue or replace hygienic food preparation. Keep a counter brush separate from tools used for floors, pet areas or bathroom cleaning, and clean the brush after messy use.
Buy for a recurring annoyance
This is a convincing little purchase for a breakfast station, craft table or compact kitchen where dry debris appears daily. It is less useful for large floors or liquid spills. Check that the listing says Compact: OXO’s larger Dustpan and Brush Set is a different product.
If your current cloth-and-bin routine is already easy, keep it. Choose this set when a few seconds of gathering would save you the much less pleasant job of sweeping under the table afterwards.
