The tabs solve a small but real problem
Getting a soft muffin out of a reusable liner can leave a thumbprint in the top. OXO’s silicone cups have lifting tabs and an internal fill line, giving you something to hold and a visual cue for portioning batter. The twelve-cup set is also useful for separating snacks in a lunch box.

Think of the fill line as a consistency aid, not a universal recipe instruction. Different batters rise differently, and the recipe still determines the appropriate fill level. The cups can be turned inside out for cleaning, so inspect the base and folds rather than washing only the opening.

Reuse requires a washing routine
Choose these if you bake or pack divided snacks often enough to reuse them. Paper liners remain convenient for giving cakes away, and a conventional tin remains necessary for recipes or setups that need its support. OXO lists dishwasher care and several cooking-appliance uses; follow the temperature guidance for the exact product and appliance. We have not compared release or baking time with paper. The credible advantage is reusable portioning with accessible cleaning and lifting, not a claim that silicone automatically improves every bake.

The decision before checkout
Turn the cups inside out for cleaning and let them dry before stacking. The internal fill mark helps repeat a portion, but a batter that rises strongly may need a different level specified by its recipe. A cup set is not a reason to disregard the supporting pan or appliance instructions.
