Air supplies the bulk you do not carry
This is the past-season Large Premium model, not the Regular, Deluxe or the U-shaped Traveller neck pillow. It has a TPU air bladder, a brushed fabric outer surface and a synthetic layer between them. The contoured shape is the attraction; there is no solid foam block inside.
Inflation pressure changes the feel. Start below maximum firmness and adjust rather than assuming a fully pumped pillow will be more comfortable. The mini valve is designed for inflation, deflation and smaller pressure adjustments, but we have not timed the process or tested pressure retention overnight.
Match the height to your sleeping setup
The selected listing describes a Large footprint around 16.5 by 11 inches. Nominal inflated height is not the height your head will maintain after the air is adjusted. Your sleeping position, mat and preferred support all affect whether the shape works.
An air pillow also feels different from loose foam or down. If you dislike a springy inflated surface, reduced packed size may not compensate. Try the fit before depending on it for a trip rather than assuming a soft-looking photograph establishes comfort.
Keep the compatible-mat claim narrow
PillowLock works with the appropriate Sea to Summit mat patches; it does not promise adhesion to every sleeping mat. On other surfaces, consider how you will position the pillow without attaching unapproved materials to it.
Protect the fabric and valve from sharp objects and rough treatment. Follow the supplied hand-washing and drying instructions rather than putting an air bladder in a machine wash or dryer.
