Duffel Bags
The awkward part of a work trip often arrives after check-in: you need the laptop, but not the clothes packed around it. Thule's Subterra 2 Convertible Carry-on 40L has a practical answer—a removable laptop attaché inside a larger travel bag. Consider it when that change of roles is a recurring problem, rather than paying for conversion features you will never use.

Some travel bags are easy to fill and difficult to live with afterward. Eagle Creek's Cargo Hauler 40L gives a weekend load a broad opening, alternative carrying straps and an end compartment that swallows the empty bag. The appeal is less wardrobe-on-wheels and more grab, pack, go, then put it away.
Duffel Bags
A gym bag is easy to choose until the journey includes stairs, a crowded train and a walk to the hotel. The Osprey Daylite Duffel 30 makes its strongest case there: one roomy compartment with three ways to carry it, rather than a pocket for every possible object.
Duffel Bags
A soft duffel makes sense when a trip includes awkward transitions: car boot, station platform, short walk and a room with little storage. The black Osprey Transporter 40 combines broad access with a backpack-style carry arrangement. This guide is about the non-wheeled 10003344 version—not the Rolling Transporter or a newer bag with different construction.
