You do not necessarily need a steel flask just to sit outside with a warm drink. The GSI Infinity Backpacker Mug pairs a light polypropylene cup with a soft insulated sleeve, a folding webbing handle and a sip lid—a different approach for drinks you plan to enjoy soon.
Lightness comes from the construction
The selected Heathered Black model 75285 holds approximately 17 fluid ounces and weighs about 3.5 ounces by the maker’s information. It is not a double-wall vacuum bottle. The sleeve cushions your grip and helps insulate the contents, but no all-day temperature claim belongs here.

The removable cup has measuring marks, useful for checking a water quantity during meal preparation. It is not a calibrated laboratory vessel. Gallery disassembly views use another colour to show the transparent cup, sleeve and lid; your linked selection is one black mug, not a colour assortment.

A sip lid is not a backpack seal
GSI describes the top as spill-resistant, with a sealable spout. That does not establish leakproof performance when the mug is laid sideways among clothes or electronics. Treat it as a camp drinking cup and keep it upright; choose a genuinely sealed travel bottle if carrying filled in a bag is the main task.

The soft handle folds close for storage, but there is no rigid metal loop. Think about whether that suits how you hold a cup. Hand-wash, dry thoroughly and follow the care guidance for the removable parts. Do not put the polypropylene cup on a stove or use it as a long-term food-storage vessel.

Keep the reason modest and useful
Choose it when a lighter, comfortably handled camp cup suits short drinking sessions. Skip it if you primarily need long heat retention, a cooking pot or a sealed commute bottle. It makes the most sense as one deliberately chosen mug in your kit—not another insulated product bought for a job it was never meant to do.
